Pairing issues?
Before you reset
- Place both earbuds in the charging case.
- On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings.
- Find Indy or Indy Wireless.
- Tap Forget This Device or Unpair.
- Turn Bluetooth off on your phone for now.
How to reset Skullcandy Indy True Wireless
- Take only the right earbud out of the case.
- Tap the centre touch area on the right earbud 4 times.
- The earbud should power off and show a red light.
If it does not, repeat the 4 taps. - Place the right earbud back into the case.
- Take only the left earbud out of the case.
- Tap the centre touch area on the left earbud 4 times.
- The left earbud should power off and show a red light.
- Place the left earbud back into the case.
- Now remove both earbuds from the case together.
- Wait a few seconds for the earbuds to pair to each other.
Skullcandy’s official guidance says this reset is used when Indy earbuds will not pair to a phone or when the two earbuds are not connecting to each other properly.
How to pair them again
- Turn Bluetooth back on.
- Open your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
- Look for Indy or Indy Wireless.
- Tap it to pair.
- If more than one Indy option appears, wait a few seconds and choose the main Indy option.
If they still will not pair
- Put both earbuds back in the case and check that the lights come on.
- Clean the charging contacts on the earbuds and inside the case.
- Keep the earbuds close to your phone.
- Restart your phone and try again.
- Repeat the reset, making sure each earbud is reset separately.
