How to set up the Google Nest Doorbell

How to set up the Google Nest Doorbell:

  1. Charge the doorbell first
    Plug the doorbell in using the charging cable. It is best to give it a good charge before setup.
  2. Open the Google Home app
    Sign in with your Google account.
  3. Add the doorbell
    Tap + Add, then choose Set up device, then New device.
  4. Choose your home
    Select the home you want to add the doorbell to.
  5. Scan the QR code
    The QR code is usually on the back of the doorbell or on the setup card.
  6. Follow the app instructions
    The app will guide you through connecting the doorbell to Wi-Fi.
  7. Choose battery or wired setup
    For this model, you can use it wire-free on battery, or connect it to existing doorbell wiring if suitable. Google has separate guidance for choosing wired or wire-free installation.
  8. Mount the doorbell
    Fit the mounting plate where you want the doorbell, then clip the doorbell onto it.
  9. Test it
    Press the doorbell button and check that your phone receives a notification.
