How to Set Up the Google Nest Doorbell
Follow these simple steps to set up your Google Nest Doorbell and connect it to the Google Home app.
Before you begin
Make sure the doorbell is charged, your phone is nearby, the Google Home app is installed, and you have your Google account and Wi-Fi details ready.
Charge the doorbell first
Plug the doorbell in using the charging cable. It is best to give it a good charge before setup.
Open the Google Home app
Open the Google Home app on your phone and sign in with your Google account.
Add the doorbell
Tap + Add, then choose Set up device, then New device.
Choose your home
Select the home you want to add the doorbell to.
Scan the QR code
Scan the QR code, usually found on the back of the doorbell or on the setup card.
Follow the app instructions
The Google Home app will guide you through connecting the doorbell to Wi-Fi.
Choose battery or wired setup
For this model, you can use it wire-free on battery, or connect it to existing doorbell wiring if suitable.
Mount the doorbell
Fit the mounting plate where you want the doorbell, then clip the doorbell onto it.
Test it
Press the doorbell button and check that your phone receives a notification.
