Amazon Echo Setup
Follow these simple steps to set up your Amazon Echo Show and connect it to Wi-Fi.
Before you begin
Make sure you have your Echo Show 8, power adaptor, Wi-Fi password, Amazon account login, and your phone nearby with the Amazon Alexa app installed.
Plug it in
Connect the power adaptor to the Echo Show 8, then plug it into a wall socket. The screen should turn on automatically.
Choose your language
Tap your preferred language on the screen to continue the setup process.
Connect to Wi-Fi
Select your home Wi-Fi network and enter the password when prompted.
Sign in to your Amazon account
Enter your Amazon login details on the screen to connect the Echo to your account.
Confirm your details
Follow the on-screen steps to confirm your time zone, address, device location and device name.
Choose your settings
You may be asked about wallpaper, privacy options, updates, Alexa features and offers.
Let it update
If the Echo Show downloads an update, leave it plugged in and wait for it to finish.
Test Alexa
Once you see the home screen, try saying: “Alexa, what’s the weather?”
